Terms of use
The rules for using SnapZilo, kept as short and plain as we could. The app runs on your phone and none of your data comes to us, so there is not much to agree to.
The short version
- Use SnapZilo on your own phone, for your own things — free.
- Your screenshots and what is in them are yours. We claim nothing over them.
- Reading is not perfect — check a number before you send money to it, an event before you add it, a code before you share it.
- Only Join networks you are allowed to use.
Agreeing to these terms
By installing or using SnapZilo you agree to these terms. SnapZilo is made and run by Sigmative LLC (“we”). If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your licence to use SnapZilo
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use SnapZilo on devices you own or control, for your own purposes. The app itself, its code and design, this website, and the SnapZilo name and logo are owned by or licensed to Sigmative LLC.
- Don't copy, modify, sell or rent the app, or ship it inside another app.
- Don't reverse-engineer it, except as far as the law allows you to.
- Don't remove the copyright or licence notices it carries.
Your screenshots stay yours
What SnapZilo reads stays on your phone, and we claim no rights over your screenshots or anything in them. Which screenshots you keep, and what you do with them, is up to you. What is read and where it is kept is set out in the privacy policy.
Using it fairly
- Don't use Join to connect to a Wi-Fi network you have no permission to use.
- Don't use SnapZilo to gather other people's personal data in ways the law does not allow.
- Don't try to break, get around or misuse the app, and don't use it for anything that breaks the law where you are.
Reading is not perfect
SnapZilo reads screenshots with on-device text recognition, which can misread a character, a date or a digit — especially in small type, or in Bangla conjuncts. Which pile a screenshot goes in is a best guess too.
Check before you rely on it. Before you send money to an account number, add an event, save a contact or share a code, check it against the screenshot itself. We are not responsible for losses caused by a misread value you used without checking.
Price
SnapZilo is free to download and use. If paid features are added, their price and terms will be shown in the app before you pay, and purchases will go through Google Play, under Google Play's terms.
Other people's software and names
SnapZilo includes parts made by others, and their own licences apply to them: Google ML Kit (under Google's ML Kit terms); Tesseract OCR, Tesseract4Android, the tessdata_fast Bengali model and ZXing (Apache 2.0); Leptonica (BSD 2-Clause); libjpeg and libpng (their own licences); and the fonts Bricolage Grotesque, Geist and Geist Mono (SIL Open Font License).
The app and service names shown in thumbnail badges and on this website — bKash, Nagad, Rocket, WhatsApp and the rest — are trademarks of their owners. They are shown only to say which app a screenshot came from; SnapZilo is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
Warranty and liability
SnapZilo is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties — including that it will always work, be free of errors, or suit a particular purpose.
As far as the law allows, Sigmative LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses from using SnapZilo — including lost data, a misread value or joining the wrong network. Nothing here limits a liability the law does not let us limit.
Stopping
You can stop using SnapZilo at any time by uninstalling it, which deletes everything it kept (details). We may stop offering or updating SnapZilo, or any part of it, at any time.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Using SnapZilo after a change means you accept the new terms.
